Once a staple food of ancient South American cultures, NuVitality Puffed Amaranth is the perfect alternative to traditional cereals.  You can add it to your favourite breakfast or use it as nutritious ingredient in delicious snacks. Try this – High energy snack bar. Put NuVitality Puffed Amaranth, mixed nuts and seeds onto a baking tray.  In a saucepan bring brown sugar, honey and butter to the boil and stir until sugar dissolves.  Remove from heat and pour over puffed amaranth mix.  Cover with baking paper and press to bind ingredients. Let stand 2-4 hours at room temperature, then slice and enjoy.
